Is it safe for me to participate in personal training while pregnate?

It depends! As long as you and your baby are healthy and cleared by your OBGYN, exercise is encouraged! A discovery call is a great place to start to determine if training is a good fit.


What are the benefits of exercising during pregnancy?

It is a common misconception that you are training for birth. Girlfriend – your body is already fully capable of birth. What you are training for is motherhood! A few benefits of regular exercise during pregnancy are decrease risk of gestational diabetes/preeclampsia, promote healthy weight gain, improve overall strength, reduce aches and pains, and ease constipation.


I've never regularly exercised before, but now that I am pregnant can I begin an exercise routine?

Sessions are one-on-one for 60 minutes. It is dependent on the person, their condition, and their goals, but we typically see clients 1x/wk to allow for independence at home with specific home exercise program designed for you.

What would a training session look like?

Training sessions are either 30mins or 60mins. It will include mobility, corrective exercises, strengthening, and performance. Style will be dependent on client goals, likes, and dislikes, but the framework remains.


I am newly postpartum, when can I start?

You can begin training before your 6 week clearance from OBGYN, but that does not mean you are back to pre-pregnancy activities (ie running, power lifting, etc). A pelvic floor physical therapy evaluation is advised before training begins. It is important to trust the process, enjoy the journey, and love the opportunity to move your body while learning your new and powerful mom body!
